Get Fresh with Fundraising
In today's world, it is essential to support local non-profit organizations and businesses that work towards building a stronger community. One such initiative that I helped form was the partnership between by Loving Spoonful and Patchwork Gardens to create the Farm Fresh Fundraiser program. It is a unique opportunity for schools, sports teams, and other community organizations to raise funds while supporting a local organic vegetable farm and a non-profit organization that promotes community building around food.
Loving Spoonful is a non-profit organization based in Kingston, Ontario, that is committed to fostering a healthy and sustainable food system. They work towards ensuring that everyone has access to fresh and nutritious food and promote healthy eating habits through various community programs.
Patchwork Gardens, on the other hand, is a local organic vegetable farm that has been growing fresh produce for years.
By participating in this fundraiser, your organization can help support both these organizations while raising money for your cause.
The Farm Fresh Fundraiser program works in a simple yet effective way. Your organization can sell bags of Patchwork Gardens carrots to your members, friends, and family members. The proceeds from each sale are shared between your organization, Patchwork Gardens, and Loving Spoonful. By selling these bags of fresh, locally grown carrots, you are not only helping raise funds for your organization but also supporting local agriculture and promoting healthy eating habits in your community.
Participating in this program is a win-win situation for everyone involved!
If you are part of a school, sports team, or community organization looking to raise funds, I urge you to consider participating in the Farm Fresh Fundraiser program. By doing so, you can make a positive impact on your community and support organizations that are working hard to create a better future for everyone!
